Fast download speed does not help if clicks feel sluggish or games lag — latency is the issue. Use this ping test to measure round-trip time to any host.

Ping sends small ICMP Echo Request packets to a host, which replies with Echo Reply. The time difference in milliseconds is your ping latency — a basic health check for reachability and delay.
- **1–15 ms:** Excellent — ideal for competitive games on local fiber. - **15–50 ms:** Good — smooth browsing and streaming. - **50–150 ms:** Noticeable delay — common to nearby Asian servers from Korea. - **150–250 ms:** High — typical to US/EU over long submarine cables; games may stutter. - **300+ ms / timeout:** Poor line or packet loss; connection may drop intermittently.
Timeouts or non-zero packet loss mean some data never returned — often due to overloaded routers or bad cables. The stack retransmits, slowing transfers and causing freezes.
